So I had to take advantage of this May the 4th day to share something maybe a bit different out there to what others are doing or talking about today… As a common part of today’s culture, Star Wars Day or May the 4th Day has become a popular event after the infamous line from the blockbuster movie “May the Force be with you” … From May the 4th sales to Star Wars fan celebrations, the day has become popular over recent years.

Not really a massive Star Wars fan myself (eekkk – yes I did just admit this!), my younger siblings on the other hand are star-stuck crazy which made me look a bit deeper into this huge global fanfare. In more everyday terms for those similar to me who are not too acquainted with the intricacies of George Lucas’s world, “The Force” according to a Star Wars Fandom site is an energy field created by all life that connected or bound everything in the Universe or Galaxy.

Imagine a power or energy so powerful out there, that it binds the WHOLE galaxy together… and thus when someone says “May the Force be with you” it is a phrase used to wish someone good luck or good will and that the Force work in favour for the recipient. The phrase is often used when people parted ways in the movie or when facing impending challenge.

In today’s world with so much upheaval, uncertainty and just plain fear, it’s things like this that give us something to hold on to. Something higher or bigger or greater than ourselves that gives us a sense of Hope and Faith that the future will indeed work in our favour and fortune.

So often we come to a cross road or a block in our journey – I felt this just yesterday, unsure whether or not to start this new writing journey and allowing myself to be seen, so open and vulnerable as I share my thoughts, feelings and experiences with you all. Common questions one asks is “Who would want to listen to me?” or read my stuff or be interested in my voice blah blah blah… We all know that internal demon voice that plagues at the best of times!

It was in having Faith however and trusting in the Higher Power and Source that gave me that final push to say, “Just do it”… just get started… be TRUE. Be AUTHENTIC. BE YOU! And when we do things with a good heart and pure intentions to do good rather than harm the world and others, then the Force will indeed be with you in even greater power. It’s something I’ve seen and experienced over and over again in my life.

So today, I challenge you to also allow yourself to dig deep. Allow yourself to be a bit vulnerable, to be open, to look inside yourself and ask yourself, “What is that thing I’ve been wanting to do that I just haven’t been able to get to?“… and then I ask you to trust not just in YOURSELF, but the Higher Powers/God/The Universe or even just the Force and something bigger and greater than yourself to just start.. One moment that can change the rest of your life Forever!

And it can start today.. You’ve got this, and I’m right with you every step of the way. If I can do it, so can YOU!
