“The more you CELEBRATE your life, the more there is in life to CELEBRATE” ~ Oprah Winfrey
Today I couldn’t help but post about the art of celebrating. With two very most awesome humans in my life celebrating their born days – my siblings (and no they are not twins 😉).. birthdays and days such as Mother’s Day just gone past always bring about an extra cause for celebrating.
Many of my friends still can’t get over my celebratory nature of having to acknowledge, observe and create some extra fanfare over these sorts of events (and littler ones too!). I’ve garnered the name the “Birthday Queen” over the years, but one of the best praises has to be from one of my dearest friends who always reminds me just how much I have the gift of “celebrating life to the full” as she always says…
I was blessed to be born in a family where no birthday was left unacknowledged. My great grandmother believed that no birthday should be celebrated without a cake – no matter how old you were. As I always remind people, fanfare or celebration doesn’t have to mean spending loads of money – it can be a simple note or handmade card or gift; or something of meaning or significance to the person you’re gifting.
When was the last time you celebrated something important? What in your life or in someone else’s life close to you can you choose to celebrate TODAY? There is ALWAYS something to celebrate… and as Oprah says.. the more we celebrate, the more there is to celebrate!
Here’s to CELEBRATING. Here’s to life and living and making each moment count. Moment by moment..
Have a great one guys 🥳
Much love always (and for the love of CELEBRATING), Poonam
